I learned about the ThermaCELL® product when I was turkey hunting in Florida. The guys down there swore by it. I was unsure as to what exactly it was until I was able to witness it first hand. We were hunting south of Jacksonville, Florida and it had been raining since we had arrived. On the third day of the hunt the rain stopped. I was sitting with my guide that morning in a very damp pasture under a small group of trees and as the sun rose, I began to hear a buzzing sound. The flying, biting bugs of Florida were awakening. I am not from the south, but I have heard of unbearable mosquitoes, so as I sat I thought about what I would do if a gobbler came in while these bugs were biting me. I did not have to wonder long. My guide pulled out a ThermaCELL® and clicked it on and within five minutes, the buzzing sounds were gone. Not one gnat flew around me. To say the least, I was quite impressed. I went home from that trip with ThermaCELL® stuffed in my suitcase. If they would work in Florida, surely they would work in Missouri. They did. I have not had to worry about mosquitoes while hunting in early archery season, or while dining on my back porch. Once I click on my ThermaCELL® and my area is soon mosquito-free.

ThermaCELL® Mosquito repellant has no odor and can be used safely and effectively in the deer woods or hunting any other animal with a good nose. They run on a Butane Cartridge that heats a treated pad. This pad releases mosquito protection for a 15 foot diameter for up to 12 hours. They are small enough to fit into any backpack or fanny pack for hunting or camping trips. These are not expensive either, and once you buy the main unit, extra butane cartridges and pads can be bought as refills.
