Don't know where I have been. Maybe hunting I guess. Anyway enjoyed your website. I have hunted for 36 years. I love the outdoors. My husband and I are finally moving back to Northern Wisconsin where we have land and building a new home on the property. It has been a dream of are's for many years. We have started making food plots this spring for the deer. We also have bear, some turkeys and numerous other wildlife. Again great job. Joan M Chappell

Hello everybody!
I was looking for some infomation about hunting on the Internet and I have seen your web page. I am glad that there is such organization abroad. I am from Bulgaria and for the last 7 years I am interpreting for foreign hunters coming to Bulgaria. This is a part time job for me and I am doing it only 3-4 times a year, during the hunting season. I am not a hunter myself and women's hunting is not very popular in my country. But I like going out in the forest, looking at the game, meeting different people or listening of hunting stories. I can say that for me everytime, when I go out, I feel that I'm not working but relaxing. For me your are doing a great job! Congratulations! Anna Srebreva

This was from Alan Cleveland...

"I am quite honestly overwhelmed by the general ethics, skills, and experience that I am seeing at womenhunters.com.  As someone who thoroughly enjoys surfing the net, I also want to say (again) that you have one of the best web sites I've ever had the privilege to navigate.

The links are sensible, retaining a relationship to the theme, the profiles are lucid, the pics are intriguing, and, as mentioned, the field ethics of your group are top-notch.  Typically, when I am on a site, I cut straight to the meat, find what I'm looking for, and split.  Your site still has me returning for more as I am finding it is ALL meat!  Sincerely, there does not appear to be any wasted space there, and it is so comprehensive.  What a great thing you have done and are doing for the sport of hunting.  All of you!

One thing that has really jumped off of the profiles and slapped me around a bit is how active you all are.  Many of you are a part of so many organizations and participate in so many activities that it honestly surprises me that you ever have time to hunt.  I think this is the real distinction between men and women.  And, where I might be generalizing a bit, by comparison, I feel most of us men are sluggish.  Where we feel complete working to afford hooks and bullets for our weekend outings, it seems the typical lady not only works, but raises her family, participates in multiple events and organizations, finds time to write articles, attend or teach classes, and on and on and on.  I am honestly impressed and overwhelmed by your ability to fit it all in while still finding time to get into the field!"

Hi Susie! I'm so glad I found your website. I too am a hunter and have FMS. I was diagnosed in 1991. I began hunting in 1996. It is hard sometimes. The walking sometimes is just not to be done and I had to quit using my climbing stand, no strength in my legs. There are days when I just stay at the camp, I feel so bad but enough of that.

I am thrilled that there is a site dedicated to women hunters. I really enjoy being out there and all it entails. I have caught a lot of flack about it from women around here. I go with my husband. He used to go with a bunch of guys then he had a heart attack while hunting after that the guys treated him like he had aids instead of heart disease, I started going with him so he wouldn't be alone so far from home. I didn't hunt then but took it up after two years.

Not only do I get to hunt I get to spend some quality time alone with my husband. Now I can't wait for October to get here every year.

Here's wishing you the very best and lots of good days. God Bless and Thank You for a wonderful site.

I just wanted to say that I think you have a great site I am a male but while trying to find info about bowfishing I went thru one useless site after another. I bowhunt deer and turkey and have been gigging for gar and carp but didn't know the first thing about setting up for bowfishing... Your site helped out a lot just wanted to say...

Thanks womenhunters

This is an excellent article about dog training. Thank you I can't wait for the next one. Keep up the good work. L

I am a new member and I wanted to tell you how much it means to me that you have a Locks of Love Challenge! I have been growing out my hair for two years to cut it off and donate it to Locks of Love! My niece was stricken with a rare form of kidney cancer 4 years ago and today she is completely healthy. To celebrate her life, I want to give to those who are going through what she did. Thanks so much!! I am planning on donating in the spring - so I will send a picture!

I was wondering if u had a magazine or know of any that u could tell me about. I know there's bowhunter magazine, but if there was a specific one for women , I would appreciate u letting me know. Thanks for your help! Ashley

Hi, I'm Lynn Ackerson and reading the North American Hunter magazine I found your article of Female Hunting Club Holds Membership Drive. This is right up my alley as I am a hunter also. I would be very interested in becoming one of your members. We need more women involved with groups like yours. Thanks for this information. =^.^=

Hi, my name is Airman Timothy Parker of the US navy. On Sept. 18, 2001, I went underway with the USS Thoedore Roosevelt, about to begin the most important time in my life. You see, we were on our way to Afghanastan to give payback for what the Taliban did. At first, we didn't know if we were going, but deep down we did. October 10, 11:30 pm, we got word that we had just dropped the first bomb(USS Enterprise did that). It was my first war, and I was scared to death. My parents were scared. my friends were scared, my fiance was scared, and my daughter didn't know why her daddy was going away again. You see, I am actually on the USS Eisenhower, but I volunteered to go with the "ROSIE". I am from New Jersey, about 45 mins south of New York, so this was my backyard. Is what I am trying to say is, THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!! The people back home and their support is what helped me and 5,500 other sailors and marines get through the record breaking 156 days straight underway. Everyone was supportive of Operation Enduring Freedom, it was mesmerizing. I just hope that everyone will have the same support and love that they had then when I head to the Persian Gulf and fight Iraq. Again, thanks for the support and love.. never forget what we(sailors and soldiers) do for America, for we will never forget what you do for us.GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!

Sincerely,

Timothy M. Parker, USN
