BADF Disabled Services, Streamlight and Safari Club Sables are working in cooperation with Sue Burch at Womenhunters.com to organize a special event for women with disabilities, and women who are surviving cancer. We would like to hear from ladies who may be interested in attending such an event.
The hunt will take place in Alabama at the Southern Sportsman's Hunting Lodge December 12-14th and involves 2-1/2 days of guided hunting, lodging and meals for each hunter and their non-hunting companion. The hunters can use rifle or bow on this event. Southern Sportsman is making the lodge accessible for wheelchairs at this very moment. Participation gifts and other prizes will be awarded to the hunters on this event. Six hunters will be sponsored with scholarships that will pay for their hunt, food and lodging. These scholarships will be awarded through an application process.
Hunters receiving these scholarships will have to get to the hunt location near Selma, Alabama, and pay for their own licenses which will be $77 for non-residents.
