The turkeys they are a callin’. Missouri spring turkey season arrives mid-April and again I look forward to each daily immersion in the Missouri timber. This year I find myself going over my gear list as usual and taking my shotgun to the range for a good test pattern.

For me, it is best that gear for turkey season is kept to a minimum. On the move, stalk and hunt turkey season demands a quick response and I don’t have the time nor the desire to be ‘packed to the hilt’ like a gypsy caravan. Too much stuff slows me down and makes too much noise.
