Andrea Johnson has resigned as Newsletter Editor in Chief due to not having enough time to fully dedicate herself to the position. She has done an excellent job in the previous years newsletter projects. Her organization in editing the WomenHunters Website articles as well as the professional layout and editing of the newsletter is appreciated by all. "It has been an honor and a privilege to be part of the newsletter staff and to serve as the editor. We have a very talented group of women writers, a very loyal group, and wonderful leadership. I am very proud to be part of one of the leading women's hunting organizations in the world," said Andrea.

Andrea will continue as a WomenHunters staff writer, and plans to fully support WomenHunters where and when she is needed. Her volunteer efforts will primarily be focused on her role as webmaster and editor for the Florida Dog Hunters and Allied Sportsmen's Associations of Florida websites. Andrea hunts regularly in North Florida, as well with the Women in the Outdoors program throughout Florida.

Sheila Ogle, WomenHunters Website Editor in Chief will be stepping down from that position. Immediately she will step into the position of Newsletter Editor in Chief in the vacancy left by current Newsletter Editor in Chief, Andrea Johnson.

Sheila has more than five years experience writing for the WomenHunters website. She has spent more than a year as WomenHunters Website Editor in Chief, is published in various outdoor and regional magazines and authors an outdoor newspaper column. She is enthusiastic about this new project. She had this to say about the new direction she will pursue at WomenHunters, “The staff writers at WomenHunters are a gifted group and I am pleased to be able to devote the time to work with them to pull together four annual WomenHunters Newsletter projects.”

WomenHunters would like to thank our former editor’s Andrea Johnson and Sheila Ogle for their dedication and service to our organization. We are pleased to have their continued support.

Jen Weiss, a bowhunter, and member of WomenHunters, has stepped up to take over as the Web Editor in Chief for WomenHunters in place of Sheila Ogle, the current Web Editor. Jen is already editing articles and making contact with the staff writers as she edits and works on their articles. She has been writing for WomenHunters for several years, and says, "I am very excited that my BA degree in Communications can be used for such a fantastic organization such as WomenHunters! I am honored to be able to fill the editor's position. As Editor in Chief, I hope to help others share their personal experiences through the articles they write and help promote women in the hunting sports at the same time."

Megan Michaud

Megan Michaud, our youngest editor is right in step with our new editorial staff.  Working along side the Website Editor in Chief and the Newsletter Editor in Chief, Megan will fill the Associate Editor position at WomenHunters. Megan explains her enthusiasm for WomenHunters, “I am very excited to begin my position as Associate Editor for Women Hunters. There is no better way to show my passion for hunting than to become involved in an organization such as this!”

A writer for WomenHunters for two years now, she hails from New Brunswick, Canada. Megan is currently residing in Ontario for a three-year program at McMaster University where she is majoring in French. After completion, she plans to attend college to become a Firefighter.

She says, “I was brought up in a family that loves to hunt, and that passion has rubbed off on me. I enjoy hunting for partridge and for deer in the fall, and in the spring, I love to go fishing for salmon. I am an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan, and I love hockey. I am a volunteer at the World Pond Hockey Championships each February, and this year will be no different.”
