Press Release from Muzzy...
Cartersville, Georgia - Muzzy Products Corporation will proudly present the 2006 Tall Man Award to the husband and wife team of Jim and Lynne Frady at the ATA Show in Atlanta in January 2007.
The presentation will be made at Muzzy’s booth 2317 Jan 20, 2007 @ 2PM.
Each year, Muzzy bestows this award on someone who “stands tall” among his or her peers. This person contributes to the community and goes above and beyond to promote and protect the future of archery and bow hunting. This year, Muzzy recognizes the power of teamwork and proudly credits Team Frady with this accomplishment.
Certified Level 1 Archery Instructors and North Carolina Hunter Education Instructors, Jim and Lynne have worked in the outdoor and hunting industry for the past 12 years with a focus on getting more young people and women involved in the outdoors. They teach archery and carry their “Outdoor Classroom” programs in their enclosed trailer to schools, camps, Boy Scouts of America, 4-H Clubs as well as the National Wild Turkey Federation's Jakes Days and camps for the terminally ill.
Their work with women includes instructing for the NWTF Women in the Outdoors programs (WITO) and the N.C. Wildlife Resource Commissions Becoming and Outdoors Woman program (BOW).
“Jim and I both grew up in homes with parents who knew the importance of getting kids outside,” says Lynne. “Several years ago, we discovered that even though our daughter Leah was well versed in numerous outdoor activities, many of her friends were not. We decided we wanted to pass on our love of the outdoors to other children as well as to women who may not have the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities. We decided it was our goal to get people out from behind the TV and off of the concrete.”
With a dedication to preserving the shooting sports heritage, Jim and Lynne reach approximately 10,000 people annually through their programs and seminars.
“It’s truly overwhelming to win such a prestigious honor,” says Jim. “I just don’t feel like we’re in the same category as the people who’ve won this award in the past for the significant contributions they’ve made to the hunting and shooting heritage. We are honored and look forward to accepting the award at the ATA show.”
Michele Musacchia-Eichler, CEO of Muzzy Products, has been friends with Lynne and Jim for the past 12 years and says that the couple is definitely worthy of the award.
“I’ve never known two people more dedicated to passing on the bow-hunting heritage,” Eichler says. “They do it out of a genuine love for the sport and wanting to share their passion. Their grassroots efforts are invaluable to the future of our sport. All of us at Muzzy are honored to be associated to these two amazing people.”
In appreciation for all of Team Frady’s contributions to the world of archery, we congratulate Jim and Lynne on being selected as the 2006 Tall Man Award recipients.
