Shooting Illustrated challenges new TTSX
Shooting Illustrated Associate Editor Aaron Carter may compete in Jiu-Jitsu tournaments when he’s not on the clock, but after going nearly 100 rounds with Barnes’ new Tipped Triple-Shock X-Bullet (TTSX), toughness and versatility have all new meaning. Even before press releases were issued on the TTSX, Carter had it chronographed, tested on a variety of media and even took a feral hog with the bullet to determine if it could perform reliably during both high- and low-velocity impacts-where many other hunting bullets choke.
“The results were a real eye opener,” Carter said. His article will appear in October’s issue of Shooting Illustrated, and includes photographs of the bullet’s performance in Bullet Test Tubes at different velocities, the bullets after upset and much more. “Traditional hunting bullets are up against a formidable opponent,” he said.
