Rob Keck, CEO of the National Wild Turkey Federation made a formal announcement February 4, 2002 naming Brenda Valentine as the new National Spokesperson for the NWTF's Women In The Outdoors. This announcement came at a media meeting at the Las Vegas Hilton during the SHOT Show. Brenda will join Nancy Johnson, US shooting Gold Medalist and country music entertainer, Irlene Mandrell as celebrity spokespersons.

MS. Valentine is a familiar figure in the hunting and outdoor industry. Her involvements are as varied as her hunting accomplishments. She is an award winning author, speaker and tv personality. Brenda is life-long resident of Henry Co. Tennessee where she grew up hunting and experiencing the outdoors which are now the basis for her success. Included in her many accomplishments is a National Championship archery title, Knight Rifle Master Hunter award, a regular co-host of "OUTDOOR WORLD", a nationally televised program, a National Shooting Sports award for writing and a six year position on the Bass Pro Shops' RedHead Professional Hunting Team are but a few of her achievements. Brenda's main focus has always been to introduce women, children and non-hunters to the wonders of nature and the joys of safe and ethical hunting. Brenda will now represent the National Wild Turkey Federation and Women In The Outdoors in promoting conservation and passing on the hunting heritage.
