Brenda Valentine Elected to the National Bowhunter Education Foundation, Board of Directors

The NBEF, headquartered in Townsend, MT, recently announced newly elected Board of Directors. Elected to serve on the board, by a unanimous vote, was Brenda Valentine, prominent hunting advocate.

Valentine is a life long hunter, avid outdoorswoman, outdoor writer, seminar speaker, radio and television personality. She is a National Spokesperson for the NWTF's Women In The Outdoors program and P& HC Sports Hall of Fame member for archery. She is endorsed by such well-known corporations as Bass Pro Shops', Wildlife Research Center, Realtree, Archers-Ammo, W.L. Gore, Knight & Hale, Sims Vibration Laboratory, and Thompson Center Arms. Valentine is a six year veteran of the Bass Pro Shop's, RedHead Professional Hunting Team and co-host to the Outdoor World, television program. She devotes herself full-time to relaying the message of ethical hunting and conservation. Valentine successfully inaugurated a bowhunting school for women near her home in Tennessee.

The National bowhunter Education Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving bowhunting through education and ethics. Guided by an elected board of directors, the NBEF oversees the development and implementation of the International Bowhunter Education Program. It is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization, not controlled by any other organization or commercial interest. The NBEF is the only bowhunter organization to work with all state/provincial wildlife agencies and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, as well as state, provincial, and national archery and bowhunter organizatons. The NBEF is known for its thoughtful positions on bowhunting issues.

The International Bowhunter Education Program (IBEP) is the only program of its kind that is available in all U.S. states, most Canadian provinces, Mexico, and 18 countries in Europe and Africa. One of the goals of the organization is to instill in bowhunters a responsible attitude, and to assist them in adopting and following acceptable behavior towards people, wildlife and the environment in which they live and hunt.
