WomenHunters HOW Mentoring Program

Evaluation Procedures

The WomenHunters HOW Mentoring Coordinator will contact both mentor and protégé and request a brief written evaluation from both every month for the initial 3 months of the program, then continuing every 4 months for the duration of the program.

The evaluation will consist of general questions and measures of protégés understanding of laws, regulations, hunting safety procedures, outdoor and wildlife knowledge and satisfaction with their mentor and their abilities and activities.  They will be asked to evaluate their mentor on their effectiveness and asked to evaluate themselves as a student.

Mentors will be questioned on their teaching, what specific techniques and hunting they have taught, hunting and learning activities involved in, and the protégés progress; their ability to learn and follow instruction.  They will be asked to evaluate their own effectiveness and their mentoring relationship.

Public evaluation will be possible for all to chart online on our mentoring page and on our mentoring forum at www.womenhunters.com

Mentors and Protégés are encouraged to share stories and photos throughout their involvement in the mentoring program.
