My history as both a hunter and passionate outdoors enthusiast go back as long as I can recall. From the time I was a child, my interest in places wild and in pursuits beyond the cement have been my constant companion. At an early age, I was introduced to fishing, camping and small game hunting by my father, who was keenly interested in exposing his children to the outdoors. Later, while finishing college in Kentucky at the age of 22, I became interested in archery and the rest as they say, is history.

Like many archers and bowhunters, I started shooting compound bows. Over the years, as I developed my proficiency, I began to crave both a higher level of challenge and more simplicity in my choice of equipment. That craving was satisfied when a few years ago, after a decade and a half of shooting compounds, I began to seriously work toward becoming a traditional bowhunter and archer.

Today, I shoot a number of different recurve bows and have been fortunate enough to take game on numerous occasions afield. Of course, I've also had my share of missed opportunities and general hunting blunders, all of which make me ever more grateful for the occasional moment of hunting magic when it all somehow mysteriously comes together.

I make my living as a hospital Administrator and live on 97 acres in rural Arkansas that is abundant in fruit trees, blueberries and of course, wildlife!

Although I enjoy other hobbies including writing music, reading, and playing with my brood of canine companions that includes two dachshunds and two wirehaired pointing griffons, my great passion is the bow. It is the mighty bent stick which has given my life both enrichment and joy. And it is my hope to pass this great legacy on to others.
