22nd Annual NRA Youth Wildlife Art Contest Winners Announced
Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association is pleased to announce the winners of its 22nd Annual Youth Wildlife Art Contest.

The annual contest is open to students in grades one through twelve including home-schooled students. NRA membership is not required to enter.

Contestant's entries could be of any North American game bird or animal that may be legally hunted or trapped. Endangered species and non-game animals, such as eagles and snakes, were not eligible subjects. Entries were judged on the criteria of creativity, anatomical accuracy, and effort.

First, second, and third-place winners were chosen in each of the following grade categories: first through third grades, fourth through sixth grades, seventh through ninth grades, and tenth through twelfth grades. Prizes were awarded in each division as follows: $500 for first place, $250 for second, and $100 for third.

"The artistic skill of this year's participants is impressive," Executive Director of General Operations Kayne Robinson said. "Our judges were forced to make difficult decisions, and we offer them our sincere thanks."

A complete list of winners and those who earned Honorable Mention status follows. The original entries of the winners will be temporarily displayed at the National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia. To view the winning artwork online, go to www.nrahq.org/youth/wildlife.asp.
