From Nipigon River Bear Hunts of Northern Ontario, Canada:
We hunt for bears, moose and wolves. For bear I can accommodate groups of hunters from 1
to 10. We have a spring hunt from May 15 to June15. We have a fall hunt from Aug.15 to Sept.15.
Between both seasons we take about 60 hunters per year. Our success rate runs over 90 per cent annually and last year 57 hunters shot 57 bears.
We have quite a few women hunters, most coming with their husbands but a few on their own.
I have a small motel on the edge of the small town of Nipigon where we accommodate the guests.
The back yard has archery targets in addition to real live bears trying to to get into the baitbins. There are approx. 100 bait sites and most have multiple bears visiting them.
Hunting is usually done from mid afternoon until dark. The hunters are picked and returned to the motel for supper served on the motel deck.
Tracking, skinning and trophy care are all included. Price is $2500 plus tax inclusive except for the hunting licence you must purchase from the gov't; approx $250.
If you bring a group of 4 or more hunters I will give you one for free.
