| Press Release | Home |

Women: If camping, shooting, fishing, archery and basically finding your wild side in the outdoors sounds like a better vacation than going to the beach, THEN YOU REALLY NEED TO BE IN EDGEFIELD, S.C. THIS SEPTEMBER.

This fall, women of all ages and walks of life will converge on the Wild Turkey Center in Edgefield, S.C., for the inaugural Women in the Outdoors National Event – Celebrating Our Wild Side.

"This event will give our guests the chance to experience some great outdoor skills and take those skills to their hometowns to share with friends and enjoy again and again. Not only that, we are excited to celebrate five successful years of the Women in the Outdoors program," said Trish Berry, Women in the Outdoors national coordinator. "This is going to be an awesome event."

Scheduled for Sept. 26-29, the celebration will mark the program's fifth anniversary. The theme for this first-time event is "Celebrating Our Wild Side." The event will feature approximately 15 outdoor classes, including ATV safety and operation, archery, fly fishing, rock wall climbing, Dutch oven cooking and more.

Women in the Outdoors members, staff and volunteers will meet at the Wild Turkey Center for this event. The special price of $300 per participant is available only through early registration. Call today to register. You don't want to miss this event!
