My name is Mandy Webb. I am 28 years old and I love to hunt. I have been married for 10 years to my high school sweetheart, Geremy, where we live on an 110-acre farm in South Central Kentucky. We have a six year old son, Briar, who luckily shares a love for the outdoors as we do. Geremy is my best friend and because of him, I discovered my passion for hunting.

I started going along on hunts simply to spend more time with him. To my surprise, I began to really enjoy being outdoors and watching the deer and turkeys. He had all the confidence in the world in me and always encouraged me when I thought I couldn't be a hunter. Although there are more than two-million women in the U.S. that hunt, there aren't very many where I live. I started out just target shooting whenever Geremy was sighting in his rifle. From that first shot, I was HOOKED!!

Until last year, I had only hunted whitetail and have taken three bucks with a rifle and a doe with a muzzleloader. Then, in April of 2006, I gave into curiosity and went with Geremy turkey hunting. The next day, while Geremy was at work, I headed out to the blind armed with a Remington 870 12ga. Not knowing anything other than what I had seen my husband do, I thought I could handle things on my own. I mimicked what I had seen him do the day before and after sitting in the blind for one hour, I harvested my first Eastern Turkey!!!

I am determined to add more species to my trophy list. I am not a professional hunter although nothing would please me more than to become one. But, my main goal is to inform and encourage other women that hunting is NOT just a man's sport and to find and fuel their inner passion. It is such an honor to be in the company of some pretty amazing women and I can't wait to get to know each and everyone of you that have helped make WomenHunters such a wonderful organization.I have had a huge void in my life by not having the encouragement of fellow women hunters and I can't tell you how great it feels to finally have that support.
