Pro Staff --Accepted a ProStaff position ( the first woman asked) for Minnesota Outdoorsman (mnoutdoorsman.com) --Pro Staff, Feature writer and board member with the the non-profit organization called Outdoor Adventure Ministries. Their online magazine can be found at: www.outdooradventuresmagazine.com April 2007 --Nominated her 2nd time as “Featured Lady Bowhunter” for Womenbowhunters Apr/May 2007: --Gearing up for their summer archery programs June 2007 --Summer archery programs April 2007 --Eastern turkey hunt, Wisconsin --Bowfishing with “AMS Bowfishing” owner Cindy Braun and Patricia Strutz (guide/freelance writer who owns the guide service, “A Blonde and Her Boat”, Eagle River, Wisconsin) Patricia will be writing articles about our outing for several magazines. Alyssa supplied the bowfishing photos for her use in various magazines. Womenhunters organization and website noted in articles. --“Spring Turkey Tips” article and my turkey photo published in “Wisconsin Sportsmans Digest” April/May 2007 issue. --Eastern turkey hunt, Wisconsin – Alyssa shot a mature 2 yr old bird; 6”beard, ¾” spurs on May 18, 2007 in Juneau County. --“Outdoor Wisconsin” TV Show/2-Part Series on Bowfishing aired statewide May 24th & 26th, and May 31st and June 2, 2007. Show featured Alyssa & Cindy Braun bowfishing and discussing equipment with host Judy Nugent (footage from June 2006). The WomenHunters organization, website and WomenHunters Club were discussed on camera during an interview with Alyssa. The website front page and “Meet the Ladies” page were also shown on air. --Bowfishing with “Outdoor Wisconsin” TV & radio show host Judy Nugent, and Cindy Braun, owner of AMS Bowfishing --Alyssa’s hometime, county-wide newspaper;“The Daily Jefferson County Union, featured a small article on the front page May 25,2007 about Alyssa’s involvement with the Outdoor Wisconsin TV show and the WomenHunters organization. -- Bowfishing in Wisconsin April 2007 --Release of Michele’s History-making Polar Bear Hunt on DVD --Autograph signing at the Whole Sale Store, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada where Michele’s Polar Bear is being housed. Also sold her new Polar Bear DVD which includes WomenHunters information and promotes WomenHunters. She talked with several women and children and referred them to the WomenHunters website. --Radio interview on KCNZ AM-Northeast Iowa Outdoors Radio show, with Steve Kwikkel. --Michele and husband Jim took their cousin’s son Ben turkey hunting. He shot his first bird, a 24 pounder! They captured his first turkey hunt on video for later use on a DVD production. --She attended the Pope & Young Club's Convention in Lancaster PA where she handed out WomenHunters business cards to attendees so they could check out the website. --Michele & Jim’s new website launched; www.bowsrusoutdoors.com, which includes a link to WomenHunters.com --Black Bear hunt in Saskatchewan, Canada, May 17-28th 2007 – Michele shot a 350 lb. black bear!! --Interviewed by Kathy Butt for an article in Scent-Lok’s annual magazine publication April 2007 --“Bad Boy Buggies” Media hunt (turkey hunt) in Texas; Lisa shot a rattlesnake! --Interviewed on “Indiana Outdoors Radio Show”; Lisa discussed WomenHunters and the increasing number of women participating in the hunting sports. --Introduction of Lisa’s website: www.lisametheny.com --Turkey hunting, Indiana April-May-June --Staying very busy sending out Womenhunters license plates and hats for WomenHunter Club members and orders through the WomenHunters online store. |
