Pro Staff Update 3rd Qtr /July-Aug-Sept 2006 Beth Ann Amico Sept 2006 -- Beth has acquired several new sponsors, namely Chevy (who has provided a 2007 “Avalanche” for her promotional appearances!), Purina and G & H Decoys. Sept 2006 -- Beth presented retriever training demonstrations at Cabela's in Fort Worth (Sept. 2-3) and Kansas City (Sept. 9-10). She also presented retriever training demonstration for the National Hunting and Fishing Day (Tishomingo, Oklahoma September 16th, 2006) Sept 2006 -- Beth was interviewed by Dave Carty, gun dog writer for the “Ducks Unlimited Magazine”, for an upcoming article on preparing your dog for his first season of duck hunting. Appearance on “Outdoor Oklahoma”, practicing shots for dove season (TV show produced by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation). July, Aug & Sept. 2006 – Guest Speaker and member of the Leadership Team of the “Outdoor Adventure Ministries” bible study & hunting Seminars held at Gander Mountain, Woodbury, MN Sept. 2006 -- Linda shot an impressive 340 lb. black bear with her Mathews bow in Minnesota Sept 2006 -- Guest speaker at a women’s fly-in fishing/Christian Retreat, Ontario, Canada Sept 2006 -- Linda entered her first Muskie Tournament, Hayward, WI Lynn Frady July 2006 -- July 22 Lynn taught archery at the NWTF/WITO program in Fall Creek Falls, TN. She had 17 ladies attend the event and all of them took archery class. Lynn uses these programs to promote WomenHunters and gave each lady the WomenHunters’ web address so they could get more information from other women about the outdoors. August 11-13 -- Bass Pro Shops Charlotte N.C This is the Frady’s second year doing in-store promotions and seminars for the Myrtle Beach store and 8th year for the NC store. They work the event for Real Tree Camo, but also have the opportunity to promote several sponsors during the event. This year Lynn gave 4 seminars on getting women and children involved in hunting and the outdoorsat Myrtle Beach and 2 seminars in NC. It gave her a chance to promote products for women such as Real Tree Camo Clothing, boots, rifles, shotguns, bino's, scopes, archery equipment, ThermaCell mosquito repellant, and others. It’s also a great opportunity for her to promote WomenHunters since she says there are so many women that are not aware of organizations like WomenHunters that are geared towards women. She feels these promotions are a great success and that the more we educate women the more our sport will grow. Sept 2006 -- Canadian Goose Hunt Sept 2006 -- Bass Pro Shops - Sevierville TN Jim and Lynn met with their Pro Staff at Bass Pro Shops to go over the events for the remainder of the year, explore ways to promote women and children and generally brain- stormed on ways to accomplish their goals. They feel WomenHunters organization is a great way to promote and they’ll be sending in plenty of articles on their adventures. The Frady’s, along with their Pro Staff, taught archery for 60 people during an Outdoor Adventures program. They instructed couples which gave them opportunities to promote both their sponsors and the WomenHunters’ website. Lynn taught the Bass Pro employees a class on Innotek Dog Training equipment and how to effectively use each product that they carry in their store. The Frady’s did in-store promotions and seminars on Dog Training, field work and hunting. They promoted their sponsors and WomenHunters during all events and let people know that bird hunting is a great way for women and children to get involved in the outdoors. July 2006 -- Joined Bowhunting.net as both a “Feature” and “Field Evaluations” writer Aug. 2006 -- Appointed to Nikon Pro Staff --Appointed to “AMS Bowfishing Pro Staff/Advisory Team” --Bowfishing trip to Louisiana with Cindy & Jeff Braun, owners of “AMS Bowfishing” and Mathews Pro Shooter Richard Leftwich. Bowfishing was filmed by the TV show “Redneck Adventures” for the Sportsman’s Channel, and by AMS Bowfishing for a future bowfishing video release. --Also bowfished in Missouri for Bighead carp with Robin Parks of “Aim Low Productions” and in Illinois for Silver carp. Aug. 2006 -- Alyssa was interviewed for the outdoor radio show, “Outdoors with Dan Small and Judy Nugent” which is broadcast in WI, MI and MN. Discussed women’s clothing, the new Scent-Lok Women’s clothing line, and the WomenHunters organization. Sept. 2006 -- Bowhunted for Elk in SW Colorado with Cindy & Jeff Braun/AMS 1st hunt for elk, was self-guided; camping and hunting on public land Articles will be written for WomenHunters and Bass Pro Shops Sept 2006 -- Appointed to “Harmon Deer Scents” Pro Staff July 2006 -- Michele had several articles featuring her historic Polar Bear Hunt appear in print media; The Rochester Magazine and Rochester, MN local newspapers,and The “Carbon County News” Red Lodge, MT, in addition to several radio and TV interviews regarding her hunt. Michele continues to promote WomenHunters and the WomenHunters Club at every chance in the various media she appears in. --Elk and deer hunts in Wyoming --All hunts to be taped for Greg Hopf’s TV show which airs on The Sportsman’s Channel Lisa Metheny Aug 2006 -- Lisa was appointed to the Scent-Lok Advisory Team --Published an article on Tiffany Lakoskey which appeared in the online Scent-Lok newsletter Aug 2006 - Lisa was interviewed for the “Indiana Outdoors Radio” show which aired throughout the state of Indiana. She discussed WomenHunters and the role women play in hunting. Aug/Sept 2006 – Publication of Lisa’s Hog hunt article “Last Minute Hog Hunt” appeared in “Boarhunter Magazine” Sept. 2006 – Rifle hunted for elk in Colorado and successfully downed a nice 7x6 with a 485 yd shot! Sept 2006 - Lisa’s has acquired two new sponsors: Carolina Archery Products and Tru-Fire Releases Sept 2006 – “Realtree Outdoors” ran an article by Stephanie Mallory that featured quotes from Lisa Aug. 2006 -- Linda set up the new WomenHunters booth at the “Lincoln Bowmen” bowshot in Michigan as they hosted the “WomenHunters Benefit Shoot.” Aug 12th, 2006. |
